At last count at the start of the 2020 season, Norms has over 43 varities of tomatoes to choose from.....varieties are listed below.

Please keep in mind that this is the list we started with. Availabilty will vary througout the season day by day and hour by hour.

Determinate plants are more compact and produce more fruit all at once.
Indeterminate plants are more vigourous and produce continually until frost.
Disease resistance is important to have in varieties when tomatoes are planted repeatedly, year after year, in the same area.
V=Resistance to Verticillium Wilt
F=Resistance to Fusarium Wilt (FF races 1 and 2)
N=Resistance to Nematodes
T=Resistance to Tobacco Mosaic Virus
St=Resistance to Stemphylium

-Rotating to clean ground is also helpful in controlling blight
-Planting rows further apart and allowing more space between plants within the row will also help control blight.
-Waiting to plant young transplants until the ground is warmer (end of may, beginning of June in our area) is also helpful.
-DO NOT over fertilize your tomato transplants! This results in excess foliage and less blossoms and fruit set. Feed plants with a general purpose liquid feed at transplant time.
-Provide good moisture to your plants when the fruit is forming. Lack of water during this critical time will result in deformed fruits and BLOSSOM END ROT. One inch of water per week is recommended for quality fruit and good fruit set. Soil types vary, so adjust accordingly.
